Who Is Here is created in Unreal Engine 5.4 using Lumen global illumination and reflection.
The story's aim was to focus on an uneasy feeling within a mystery environment by introducing slow shots scenes with many details in the scene for storytelling and to build up the tension towards the end.
Lookdev, block out, and level art was done prior based on the concept. I set dressed the level and environment with some of the assets that I've modeled in the scene in the combination of Quixel assets. The lighting was done using various techniques such as virtual shadow maps, ray-traced shadows, and volumetric fog and effects. I developed and created all the master shaders.
The cinematography and post-processing were done in the engine. Additionally, I have developed various blueprint systems such as phone ringing and flickering lights, fan movements, etc.
